when i look back in time, I get rather embarrassed that I actually used to like pop music once. Then, rock was only a class of music, that i knew existed and was for a “different” set of people . First few days at college, rock, i felt was the way people chose to show they had come of age. But it was pretty soon that the hymen broke and I was introduced to rock. Linkin Park’s “In the end”…. was my first “rock” sound, and soon came creed, soad, metallica and the gods. Music was no longer about shaking the legs. It was all about banging the head. It was all about forgetting the surroundings and yet staying in touch with the reality. Someone once remarked that most lyrics were pessimistic. WTF! Them no pessimistic. Them realistic. then came the need to stay detached from all worldly connexions and thence came Trance. I probably lack taste buds for music, but I know what i like.
